Smallworlds Social platform Ning yesterday launched an Apps Platform with SmallWorlds, a browser-based 3D virtual world targeted at teens and adults, not only a part of the apps lineup but a featured app among the more than 90 available at yesterday's launch.
Ning Network Creators can now add the SmallWorlds app to their network. For SmallWorlds, this means instant increased visibility should any of the Ning groups choose to add the app to their landing page. According to SmallWorlds, educator network GlobalKids was the first to add SmallWorlds to its Ning page.
SmallWorlds is already connected through other open social platforms, including Facebook, hi5, Bebo and MySpace. The Ning platform reaches 33 million users, according to Ning.
