Thanks Azwaldo, an unexpected consequence, but certainly welcome! Thanks! We have a long way to go, and are just barely getting started with a site, a structure, an initial dump of information, and work on our first machinima, but it looks nice with…
Glad to have seen your post in the Top Education Sites thread. I plan to visit that location soon. And, you have just made the short list for receiving a copy of the image tool once it is completed.
Cheers!
Hey, I saw the shirt on your profile picture on someone last night. It looks like the mascot for ST Math, which is a software program I do some work with. Anyway, I have an assignment to find an interactive learning space for class... any…
Glad you mentioned it... I just got a gmail account specifically for SLED (after someone suggested it on SLED) so I thought maybe it was just me not understanding email. The other reply I received didn't understand where I was going. I picture…
I was glad to see your post at the thread about the image display panel. I have planned to release the object through XstreetSL and announce it here.
I also noticed your post in the SLED list ("Basic Skills for SL Educators"). Cathy…
Howdy Lisa,
I have started a thread in the discussions forum and invite you to have a look. I would like this current project to deliver the greatest value, and I suspect that you would be able to help.
Cheers

Videos: Augmented Reality, Faves
Parallel Tracking and Mapping for Small AR Worspaces A short (~3 min) video that illustrates "augmented reality". Similar videos are linked from this page (look for the Mario Bros game). Video results for an Augmented Reality tracking system. A computer tracks a camera and works out a map of the environment in realtime, and this can be used to overlay virtual graphics. Coca-Cola Avatar (Superbowl Ad at Spike) Alright. Technically, this is mixed reality; but, is it a glimpse of how AR might look?
Having lurked in the RezEd space for a long time, I have now posted my first discussion thread in the Forums. Inviting RezEd members to identify their most-recommended sites in SL could help provide a useful version of the iDP, an object designed to help distribute content.
Thanks Azwaldo, an unexpected consequence, but certainly welcome! Thanks! We have a long way to go, and are just barely getting started with a site, a structure, an initial dump of information, and work on our first machinima, but it looks nice with all the art and we're learning a ton. Anyways, thanks!

Glad you mentioned it... I just got a gmail account specifically for SLED (after someone suggested it on SLED) so I thought maybe it was just me not understanding email. The other reply I received didn't understand where I was going. I picture a rubric of sorts, that a class like mine (Ed 531, Teaching in Virtual Worlds from Boise State) could look at and say "Yeah, I have that skill set now" or "No, I don't feel proficient in this or this area yet." I imagine it will be something of a moving target as the technology and best practices evolve, but it's always good to have a baseline, I think. Thanks for writing!
yea.. I agree. I think Jonathon should create a forum. Or at least more clearly guide folks towards whatever venue he'd like to have folks contribute. I think he (Wainbrave) is asking for a more rigorous research agenda than is Barry. (Both valuable.. but different)
