I also wanted to let you know that I am working with one of my colleagues (Becky Zsun) on a proposal for the UNC TLT conference that is being held entirely in SL this April. If you are interested I will share the the details with you regarding the conference. Our proposal is on Experiential Learning in SL-not a new topic-but one that faculty are interested in...

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm not working directly with First Year Experiences, but I am doing consulting work on policies leading to improved retention and completion.

I provided my students with a list of science related places and had them visit the sites and report on them. It was an extra credit assignment. The students that completed it really enjoyed it.

Sorry I did not respond sooner- daughter's graduation from high school and preparing for Office 2007 rollout has kept me busy.

I was able to acquire a free parcel in SL through Montclair University- which I will be using for my FYE class. I plan on presenting a variety of links and prims that will represent our college theme this year- Sustainability our Responsibility. I also plan on including a group of links to FYE resources. Once I figure out how to create a slurl to my parcel I will share it with you.
