After a longish career as a filmmaker, I switched to primary school teaching, now switching again.... Just completed MSc in Technology and Learning - a design based research thesis into design of and educational milieu in virtual world. Contemplating a Phd in Second Life just now.

Am I ever interested in your thesis!!!! If you have it posted somewhere, you could just post your link on the Social Presence Effects thread. Just add a reply there (http://www.rezed.org/group/socialpresenceinvirtualworlds/forum/topic/show?id=2047896%3ATopic%3A6518).
but you can also add a pdf attachment in your reply as well. Bonnie was able to do that with her MA thesis.
Let's continue this conversation on the Social Presence Effect thread. This is really too good to keep it to ourselves.

Welcome to Social Presence in Virtual Worlds. Your background in filmmaking is incredibly interesting for us interested in social presence in 3D VR. Being on the other side of the camera, how do you decide or categorize verbal and nonverbal cues that promote social presence on the screen? This would be a great resource for us to look at what transfer in SL.
