The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) at the University of Oregon is working to create a learning environment in Second Life for learners of Chinese. We will be hosting an immersion camp in summer 2009.
CASLS' mission is to support learning and teaching of second languages. We have developed online assessment and portfolio tools.

My first suggestion is to enable your lipsync so that your avatar's mouth moves when you use inworld voice.
