I'm admin faculty at George Mason University (Student Affairs), where I graduated with my MAIS in Higher Ed. Administration/Student Affairs whose previous distain for distance learning led to an intense interest in emerging teaching technologies and Web2. My masters project was an investigation of SL as a learning tool. Thanks to literally hundreds of educators in SL, I learned more than I could have imagined, and discovered another life on the other side of my increasingly permeable membrane. Now that the research is done, for now, I'll be hanging around.
Welcome to Social Presence in Virtual Worlds, Michael. Very cool of you to join. Can't wait to hear what you can share of your MA research with us. oh...and see you on the Twitterverse sometime soon :-)
