Our kids have been consumed with candy and video games. We need to make sure our Dental Plan is current :). I have been thinking about how we can tie into this interest. Satellite Internet Service Providers are beginning to think about how Internet games can reach into the classroom.
Do any of you guys have a recommendation for a game that would serve this purpose. My son is 9. Thanks.

My friends and I are very much in love on online games. Anyway, this could help us to be busy. It is better to play online games rather than use illegal drugs that may destroy our future. Just recently, Breckenridge passed a law, for the town, that will partially legalize marijuana. It is legal for people to possess up to an ounce of pot. However, that's only within the town. Areas outside the jurisdiction still prohibit possession, sale, or use of marijuana. Medical use in Colorado is legal, though not federally. Currently, more people are in jail for marijuana than for murder or rape, and more people smoke than ever before. It won't bring revenue to Breckenridge, but less money spent on policing it might lead to some debt relief.

He might be a bit young for it but there's a game called Lure of the Labyrinth on thinkport.org. It's a pre-algebra game that requires kids to think like mathematicians. Many of my 7th and 8th grade students really enjoyed it.
