Second Life Innovation Contest - L$100,000

Say you could have land, money, and prims... what would you do with it?

Project Innovate is a new contest in Second Life where we give you the resources to be innovative. We are looking for a creative building project by a small team of avatars that brings “something new” to Second Life and that attracts visitors.

The winning proposal group has three months access to a quarter of a region which includes 3750 prims, and also will receive up to L$100,000 (Linden Dollars) for building and project expenses.

Deadline to apply is June 15, 2009.

Project Innovate is sponsored by eLab City at University of California, Riverside.

Hi Barry, sorry for answering your question after the deadline, but I think we're looking for something new to be developed on the land over the next few months rather than something just moved over from another space.

This project would surely be a hit! I think many would be interested. By the way, have you heard about Eminem Bruno stunt? The Eminem Bruno stunt was thought to be a stunt, and caused quite a stir. It turns out that the Eminem Bruno stunt was, indeed, a stunt. The head writer for Andy Samberg, Scott Aukerman, confirmed on a blog that the stunt was rehearsed at dress rehearsal exactly as it appeared on the live broadcast of the MTV Movie Awards, and the post was soon removed. It seems that effort and payday loans are being utilized to keep people thinking it was real so that the controversy and subsequent record sales wouldn't diminish. Angry performers and feuds sell a lot of albums, and record labels and artists don't want to need debt relief, hence things like the Eminem Bruno stunt.
