Yes, it has been a while since I have posted. . . my bad. . been busy.
Some great things have come my way, my co-leader teacher (Carol Schutt) and I have had the chance to showcase the Forensic Biotech program here at Enochs High School in a variety of venues. For example, we traveled to Palm Springs and Garden Grove to give presentations which included our work in Second Life. I just got back from presenting at Georgia Tech where I was awarded the national Genzyme-Life Technologies for biotechnology teaching. An important part of that work was done, and continues to be done on Second Life. This summer we are anticipating enhancing our SL Teen Grid Lab and upgrading our equipment there in order to add new simulations of the processes we do in our school labs. We will be working with Stan Trevena, who has made this part of our curriculum possible.
